Unique design and engineering, 119 Great North Road
Targetti NZ spent the last few years working along side some of the creative masterminds at Warren & Mahoney to deliver the lighting for what is arguably the best car showroom in the southern hemisphere (if not world). Targetti NZ were commissioned by The Giltrap Group to provide lighting design & supply services for this project. What is even more exciting is that the X1 was born.
With the Giltrap Groups premise for innovation through better design, and to respond to Giltrap’s intention to maximise the space for their star-cars, we worked closely with Giltrap and Warren & Mahoney to engineer a unique, all-in-one service fixture – reticulating the primary lighting, sprinkler and electrical systems. This bespoke feature coined the ‘X1’ was designed to mirror the beauty and simplicity of services reticulation seen in that of the service engineering underneath the hood of a car.
Warren Gibb (Giltrap Group Project Manager) said "In their pivotal role in the design and implementation of the ‘Multitask X1’ system over several years, Targetti NZ has brought both lateral thinking and commitment to what was a most challenging brief and the result is a uniquely functional and attractive solution.
Their contribution to this substantial and complex project reflects Targetti New Zealand’s ability to understand and interpret the client’s aspirations and is a testament to their design and manufacturing capabilities, their perseverance and their ability to work effectively with the client and the design and engineering team."
